Technical description of the "Spatz"

For lifting and transport tasks on largely level terrain.

Features:

  • Rope brake: Freewheel during lifting with adjustable return brake for sensitive lowering:
  • Centering plates on the roller foot:  Width adjustable to securely hold the frames to the roller base.

Honey trays after lifting from the hive, for free access to the brood, with little effort.  backwards tilt

  • For lifting and transport tasks even on uneven terrain.
  • On hive elevations with low underclearance (e.g. pallets).
  • Fast and energy-saving access to the brood. Instead of moving honey trays backwards out of the working environment, after lifting the tray(s) simply tilt backwards.
  • Eight different inclinations through a grid adjustment with foot control.

Operation of the tilting mechanism when used on the prey:

  • Approach of the Z. Lifter to the prey.
  • Adjusting the winch on the telescopic stand, to the required lifting dimension to the brood chamber.
  • Raise the frame(s) at least above the wheel height.
  • Release and re-engage the tilt mechanism with a short kick.
  • Carefully tilt back and re-engage the tilt mechanism.

Beehive lifter type: Spatz / Vario

Mechanical lifting and transport aid at inclined loot storage places.

Good locations for bee hives should be in a sunny and wind-protected position, in places rich in honey, including the consent of the landowner. Not to be neglected, is a good accessibility by car and a preferably ground-level, wind-protected hive site.
Sunny and wind-protected hives are available in our alpine regions enough, but in rare cases all the advantages in one place.
With the right lifting- transport aid the search for a good pitch is easier, that's why we have extended our lifting- and transport equipment selection with the type „Spatz / Vario“ expanded.

Application the lifting and transport aid for inclined loot storage.

The support of the device does not take place on the ground, but with the help of the additional support fork, on the hive frame.

After setting once at about half the height of the hive frame, the sparrow mountain with the support fork, is pushed over the prey to be processed.
Supported on the horizontal plane of the hive frame, the Spatz Berg can be operated safely even on sloping sites.

The width-adjustable support fork can also be attached to any of our other Spatz- Lifting and transport equipment must be mounted and adjusted to the correct hive height.

Operation of the Beehive lifter "Spatz-Vario":

  • Adjusting the winch height on the telescopic stand.
  • Adjust the support fork to about half the height of the one on the hive frame.
  • Start up the Z. Lift to the prey and push the support forks on the hive frame, over the prey.
  • Raise the frames until they clamp under the winch.
